Translation and Interpretation Services in English
I provide standard and certified translation and interpretation services to legal persons and individuals.
The majority of my translation work concerns law and administration. Therefore, most of the documents I translate include
- commercial contracts
- articles of association
- incorporation deeds
- legal opinions
- notarial deeds
- legal opinions
- copies of the National Court Register
- powers of attorney
- financial statements, etc.
The high quality of translation I offer is further improved by close cooperation with legal advisors, advocates and notaries public whom I can consult on legal issues. I also provide interpretation services at notaries’ offices and in court.
Sworn translations prepared for both domestic and international entities include documents related to the restitution of Jewish property in Poland.
Moreover, I translate and certify official documents
- short birth or marriage certificates
- labour certificates
- criminal record certificates etc.
required by the authorities abroad.
Over the last few years I have repeatedly provided interpretation services in notary’s offices to foreign entities concerning mainly real estate.
I also translate medical documents (medical agreements, medical certificates, opinions, discharge summaries, etc.)
One page of certified translation comprises 1,125 characters and one page of standard translation 1,800 characters.
In 2002 I completed my MA at the Institute of British and American Literature and Culture, Foreign Languages Department, University of Silesia (study major: translation and interpretation with German as a second foreign language). The title of my MA thesis read “Jewish Multilingualism vs. Translation – the Translation of Yiddish Prose into English and Polish.” (this is rather different from the Polish but I guess it’s her original title?)
As a student, I was awarded two scholarships at universities in England (University College Northampton) and Portugal (Universidade de Aveiro).
In 2004 I was appointed sworn translator of English on the basis of the decision of the Chief Judge of the District Court of Cracow.
In 2004 I completed my postgraduate studies at the Academy of Entrepreneurship and Management of Cracow University of Economics.
In 2005, pursuant to the Polish Act on Sworn Translators of 25 November 2004, I was entered into the Register of Sworn Translators maintained by the Ministry of Justice under entry number TP/2893/05.
